Monotypes Gallery
In 2022 I started making monotypes - one-off prints. I make these by rolling inks onto a perspex plate, using oil-based inks and rollers and other tools to make different marks in the ink. I then run them through my printing press to create the print. Sometimes I use two colours and other times three colours. Some images are more abstract than others. I tend to make these in small batches as I find I need a lot of concentration - too much ink creates a mess!
I'm continuing to make them - they help me to simplify landscapes to their bare essentials.
