Natural Selection Gallery

A series of handcrafted prints giving a slightly quirky take on vegetables and botanical matter. All these prints spring from photographs I've taken. I transfer the photographic image on to photo-sensitive film which forms the basis of the plate. I then ink up the plate and make a print. Editions are small - no more than 10.

I love this particular type of moss. See it a lot in the hills. I wanted to celebrate the beauty of the humble moss, and that was my aim in this image which brings out a kind of shooting star quality.
